Why most artists never upload a Canvas

The blocker was never taste. It is that a 6-second loop somehow costs you a whole evening in a video editor.

Canvas is one of the few bits of free real estate Spotify gives artists. A track with a Canvas looks like a release. A track without one looks like an upload.

Canvas is the short looping video that plays behind your track in the Spotify mobile app instead of the static cover art. Spotify asks for a vertical 9:16 video, roughly 3 to 8 seconds, which loops cleanly. You upload it through Spotify for Artists.

What size and length should a Canvas be?+

Vertical 9:16, and roughly 3 to 8 seconds long. Spotify loops it continuously, so a clip without a hard visual cut at the end reads best. BeatVisualiser exports 9:16 at 1080p by default, and the trimmer lets you cut to the exact length.

Can I make a Canvas without a video editor?+
