Audio-reactive 3D
without opening
Cinema 4D.

An hour in C4D gets you an array of cubes. This gets you a posted clip.

MoGraph with a sound effector is a great way to build a visualiser, and a slow way to get one posted. BeatVisualiser gives you real 3D (a metallic orb that reacts to your track, or a spinning 3D object for depth) and exports a 1080p clip in about a minute. No licence, no render, no install.

01How it works

Three steps to a video.

01

Real 3D in the browser

A metallic form with genuine depth and reflections, drawn fresh as your track plays. Five shapes (spikes, tendrils, splinters, starburst, iris bloom) and steel, teal, or mercury finishes.

02

Your object, your scene

Pick a preset object like a hand, pixel cursors, or an abstract shape, or upload your own. Set the spin speed and angle, tint it, and light it so it does not read as a flat grey blob.

03

No effector setup, no render

No MoGraph cloner to configure, no sound effector to tune, no render to sit through. The audio drives the visual directly and you download a finished MP4.

What matters

Cinema 4D vs a dedicated visualiser

A producer put it best after a night in C4D: an hour of work, an array of cubes. The tool was never the problem. The scope was.

Why C4D is the classic answer

Cinema 4D is the tool most motion designers reach for, and MoGraph is the reason. A cloner builds the array, a sound effector drives it from your audio, and the result genuinely looks the part. Half the music visuals you admire were made this way.

None of that is in dispute. The question is whether it is the right amount of tool for one 30-second clip you want up tonight.

Where the hour goes

Reinstalling C4D and spending an evening on an array of cubes is a real thing that happens, and it is not a skill problem. The time goes to:

  • Setting up the cloner and effector so the motion reads as musical rather than twitchy.
  • Tuning the sound effector frequency range, because the default rarely responds to the part of the track you care about.
  • Lighting and materials, which is the difference between "3D render" and "grey blobs".
  • Rendering, then re-rendering after every adjustment.
  • Keeping a subscription alive for the handful of times a year you actually open it.

The smaller box, on purpose

BeatVisualiser deliberately gives you less. A depthcore orb with five shapes and three metal finishes that reacts to your track, or a 3D object turning steadily behind it for depth. Nothing to configure, and changes appear instantly as you make them.

The ceiling is lower than C4D and always will be. But it is a finished 1080p clip in about a minute, for ten dollars of credits rather than a subscription. When the goal is a posted clip and not a portfolio piece, that is the sensible trade.

03FAQ

Questions?

Still stuck? joel@beatvisualiser.com

Can Cinema 4D make a music visualizer?+
Yes. MoGraph with a sound effector is the standard route: a cloner makes the array, the sound effector drives it from your audio, then you light and render it. It looks excellent and it is genuinely slow for a single social clip.
Is this a replacement for Cinema 4D?+
No. C4D is a professional motion-graphics suite with an unlimited ceiling. BeatVisualiser does one job: get an audio-reactive clip posted fast. Different tools for different evenings.
Is the 3D real?+
Yes. The orb is drawn fresh as the track plays, and imported models sit in a properly lit 3D scene. Nothing is a pre-baked loop.
Can I use my own 3D model?+
Yes, or pick one of the presets like a hand, pixel cursors, or an abstract shape. You set the spin speed, angle, and zoom, and can tint it and adjust the lighting.
Do I need a C4D licence for this?+
No. BeatVisualiser runs in your browser with no licence and no install. Credit packs start at $10 for 5 exports, with no subscription.
What does it export?+
1080p 60fps H.264 MP4, 9:16 by default, ready for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts. No watermark.
