Add the song and artwork
Upload the audio that should drive the movement, then use the album or single cover as the visual background. The source files stay on your device for this workflow.
Choose the waveform behaviour
Use Overlay for a waveform that moves with the current audio, or Full Track when the entire song timeline should remain visible from beginning to end.
Protect the cover design
Place the waveform in the empty part of the artwork, match its colour to the cover palette and check the result at phone size before exporting.
The waveform should prove the music is moving without hiding the release
A waveform is useful motion. It should not become a bright fence across the artist name.
Choose the open space in the artwork
Look for an area without the release title, logo, face or central subject. A lower-third waveform works when the important artwork sits higher in the frame; an upper waveform works when the title is near the bottom.
If every part of the cover is busy, soften or blur the background slightly behind the waveform instead of making the waveform thicker and brighter until it wins by force.
Choose motion or overview
A moving overlay gives the video constant local motion and makes individual hits easy to see. It is a strong default for a short social clip.
The Full Track style is better when seeing the complete song shape is part of the brief. Its playhead and played colour create motion while the waveform itself stays fixed.
Preview the real output shape
Compose in 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts or 16:9 for a full-screen YouTube video. Do not design one shape and assume an automatic crop will preserve the cover title and waveform position.
Use a high-resolution source cover. The visualizer can preserve the pixels it receives, but it cannot restore detail missing from a small or heavily compressed image.
Keep the artwork. Add visible audio movement.
The cover remains the release identity; the waveform gives the video a track-specific layer of motion.
